Contemporary Art Jewelry by Yael Friedman
Yael Friedman was born and raised in Israel. She studied art and form as a graphics design student at the Tel-Aviv Center for Design Studies followed by the Revere Academy in San Francisco, CA where she began applying her techniques to making contemporary jewelry. Friedman continued her study of jewelry design at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem from where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her work has been included in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions internationally including Holland, France, Japan, Switzerland, Germany and throughout the U.S. She has received awards for jewelry and judaica design and has work included in several publications including the “500” series by Lark Books. Friedman has taught jewelry workshops in academic settings including Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Tel Aviv and Massachusetts College of Art, Boston.
